Chris - Orchard Manager – Cider Making & Orchards
I joined Thatchers in 2017 and it's great being part of a joined-up supply chain. As Orchard Manager I am responsible for growing the apples which make our cider, 'from pip to pint' I grew up on a farm and agriculture has always been part of my life. I started to focus on growing apples in 2011. Establishing an orchard takes a long time however it's very rewarding when all that hard work bears fruit!
We always say that good cider starts in the orchard, we take a great deal of pride in growing the best apples to make the best cider. -
Ben - Supply Chain Manager – Operations
As the Supply Chain manager, I look after every drop of cider as it leaves the production lines and ensure all of our customers get their deliveries.
I started at Thatchers at the age of 16, and at 17 I was running my own shifts and had my own set of keys. I then spent the next 15 years as a production specialist taking responsibility of the production lines, and everything that comes with them. I was given the opportunity to move across to the Supply Chain department and shortly after I was made Supply Chain manager.

Maisy - Cider Academy Apprentice – Operations
After years of education, I was tired of the classroom environment and wanted somewhere to apply my knowledge in a practical way. I looked in to apprenticeships because they seemed look a good way to gain practical work experience while also still challenging myself academically. Thatchers stood out to me because of their family values and attention given to individual employees, allowing for amazing progression opportunities. Since starting at Thatchers I have seen great improvements in my confidence and been given many chances to showcase my skills. I have recently moved from the production lines to engineering & project management!

Lennon - Commis Chef Apprentice – Railway Inn
After completing a year studying catering, I decided I wanted to take my learning into the workplace, and joined The Railway Inn as an apprentice. Since joining, I feel like I've learnt so much about being a chef, putting my skills to the test & developing myself in a practical way.

Nandita - Head of Off-Trade Sales – Sales & Marketing
In May 2022, I was promoted to my current role where I head up the Grocery sales channel and manage a team of National Account Managers. I joined Thatchers in 2018 as an Export Manager for the Asia-Pacific market. I have since worked as an account manager over the last few years for various off-trade customers of ours, including Morrisons, Asda, Ocado and the Tesco Group. What I really enjoy about my role, is listening to customer challenges, working with them to find solutions and then seeing them succeed!

Ruby - Marketing Exceutive– Sales & Marketing
I started my journey at Thatchers when I was 17, I had just left college after a year of A- Levels as I discovered they weren’t for me. I joined the Brand Academy Apprenticeship to gain a view of real-life work experience and to hopefully find my future career path.
I have since been given endless opportunities & responsibility, developing my skills across all departments. This led to me joining the Talent Team as Community Brand Coordinator, where I was asked to kickstart a new & exciting community engagement programme for the business, which has helped me progress into my new role as Marketing Assistant!

Dan - Customer Services & QDT Manager – Support Functions
I started my working life in a newsagent whilst studying engineering at college. After several years of the same old thing, I decided to apply for a Job at Thatchers and I was given the opportunity to work as a technician on the bottling line. I then progressed from production to working off site as a technician in the Quality Dispense Team. I continued to develop myself with support from Thatchers, learn new skills and progress to become Team Leader and eventually manager of the Quality Dispense Team. Most recently, I have also been given the responsibility of managing Customer Services. As Customer Services & Quality Dispense Team Manager, I ensure all of our customers receive the best possible service and have everything they need to pour the perfect pint of Thatchers.
