What will I be doing?
As a Customer Service Apprentice, you’ll learn everything there is to know about delivering outstanding customer service. You’ll gain hands-on experience in our customer service department, working alongside experienced colleagues and supporting a range of activities that put the customer at the heart of everything we do.
You will:
- Manage incoming and outgoing calls to customers
- Use our bespoke IT software to carry out your day-to-day role
- Place customer orders and assist with promotional items/POS
- Create delivery schedules and process installation requests and repairs
- Manage and process customer returns
- Complete monthly reporting
- Support the Thatchers Cider Shop – both customer-facing and administration
- Package online sales for dispatch to customers
- Deliver all aspects of customer care
You’ll gain a strong grounding in the business and develop expertise in customer service, communication, and administration.
This full-time role requires you to complete a L3 Customer Services Specialist Apprenticeship, provided by Weston College. With our support, you will attend college sessions once a month on campus and receive dedicated support through visits and 121 sessions with your assessor, balanced alongside developing your practical skills & experience, at our HIVE offices in Sandford.
What are we looking for?
To be considered as a Customer Service Apprentice, you will need:
- GCSE Maths and English at grade 4/C or above, or Level 2 Functional skills or equivalent
- A good level of IT skills and willingness to learn new systems
- Good telephone manner and communication skills
- Highly organised, with good attention to detail
- Resilience and flexibility, with the ability to accept and adapt to changing situations
Personal Qualities:
- Confident and good with dealing with people at all levels
- Thirst for knowledge
- Smartly presented
- Someone who loves to get things done, with a proactive, problem-solving approach
- Strong work ethic and can-do attitude
