where talent can flourish
what is an apprenticeship?
An apprenticeship is all about learning practical skills & knowledge, on the job whilst earning. Building your knowledge through study with our training providers, to gain a nationally recognised qualification, and ultimately kick-starting your career within the business.
What are the benefits of doing an apprenticeship?
There are a multitude of benefits when doing an apprenticeship, and every apprentice is supported by both the business and their training provider, to help them succeed in achieving their qualification, by developing practical hands-on experience that can then be applied in the real world of work. They will also be earning money whilst learning!
What are the Entry Requirements?
Anyone over the age of 16 can apply for an apprenticeship.
Depending on the level of the apprenticeship, the qualification requirements will vary.
Apprentices need to show willing, hard work, enthusiasm, and flexibility to learn and develop within our business- it really is about getting stuck in!
How Long Does an Apprenticeship Last?
Typically, the minimum amount of time to complete an apprenticeship is one year. However, this can vary depending on the level you are studying. This will be made clear at the start of the application process.
What Qualifications do the Apprenticeships Offer?
At Thatchers, we recruit for various apprenticeship roles each year, including (but not limited to):
🍎Operations Apprentice – Level 2/ Level 3 Food and Drink Operator
🍎Next Generation Apprentice – Level 4 Associate Project Manager
Both offer a great foundation of growth within the company and from here, apprentices can specialise in certain areas and develop into roles.
Some of our apprentices have also gone on to study & gain further qualifications with us, helping them to hone & develop their skills even further!
When do Applications Open?
We open applications each year after our Talent Open Day Event in February.
